When the organization is prepared to listen what others tell without defending, it definitely improves the business performance.

For many feedback is a bad news, but it can also be associated with good news. Positive feedback such as commending for the work done successfully, having a positive discussion with the team member, manager’s counselling staff member on their career progression, celebrating the achievements etc are ways of creating a more healthy and positive work environment.
